26th February, 2011: alas, this is a night i’d never forget. to attend my favourite singer’s concert is just a dream come true. i know lots of people in my home country, Brunei Darussalam would love to go to his concert, & thank you Allah Syukur Alhamdulillah that i was really lucky to catch him live in concert!
his songs are so inspiring, spiritually & he “is fast becoming the next superstar of Islamic music.” from young children, to old people, he is gaining many fans from the Muslim community.
a week before the concert, he wrote a song called “Freedom” & it is dedicated to the people of Egypt, who have gained their rights to be independent recently. he also dedicated the song to the other Middle Eastern countries, such as Libya, in which, we hope that they share the same luck with Egypt. he sang the song for the first time during the concert, & it’s really amazing!
he also brought along a couple of guests artists, who are also his friends, Mesut Kurtis & Irfan Makki. ah, what more can i say, masyaAllah!! a bonus, i must say! :-) it’ll be more awesome if Sami Yusuf was there, but maybe next time!

this Saturday night, insyaAllah :-) a concert by my favourite singer, Maher Zain <3
wow, it’s been in awhile since i last posted in here. anyway, just want to post a photo of the latest singing sensation in the Islamic music, Maher Zain. i met him last year, during a meet-the-fans session. ah, i think that his music is just wonderful and his voice is just to die for! not to mention, he’s pretty handsome as well :-D
been spending much time with these two people, Baby Hairrroillll & Daddy Hairoillll :-D (inside joke!!) for almost a whole month, during the World Cup fever. Baby Hairrrrroilll is now based in Oz, & she came back to Bru-land for a month’s holiday, & Daddy Hairrrroilll is now working with a major company which produces oil in Bru-land :-D i haven’t seen them both in 1.5 years prior to this, & we’re all as crazy as ever!!!! :-D from Joity Company selling hairoil, to finding the best “soup tulang” in town, to cursing Paul the Octopus & threatening to cut him into pieces & make calimari (sp?!) out of him, to crying our hearts out when our fave teams crashed out from the World Cup… & loads more!!!

Haiti, one of the poorest nations in the world, has been hit by a powerful earthquake last Tuesday and the death toll may reach tens of thousands :’( my prayers goes out to those who perished, injured and to those people who have lost or are still looking for their loved ones, may Allah Ta’ala be with them at this devastating time… and for those people who are giving Haiti & it’s people any help, in any way they can, God Bless!
